In the 14th century till recatholisation in the years 1671-1673. Evangelists organized themselves in the town again in 1886, the seniority of Prekmurje whit its seat in Murska Sobota, however, was founded in 1922. in Muska Sobota ther was also the seat of the Jewish congregation, to which, since 1929, all representatives of the Jewish religion community in Slovenia belonged.
